  1. The PGA Centenary Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, opened for play in 1993 and is located in Perthshire, Scotland.
  2. Nicklaus said this about the course: “It’s the finest parcel of land in the world I have ever been given to work with.”
  3. We all know that first ever “Ryder Cup,” played at the Worcester Country Club in Massachusetts in 1927. But what about the Ryder Cup before that? In 1921, the first international team tournament, featuring golfers from North America and Great Britain and Ireland, was held at Gleneagles.   4. The PGA Centenary Course is home Johnnie Walker Championship. The course has also hosted: The Curtis Cup, the Scottish Open, the Women’s British Open, and the McDonald’s WPGA Championship of Europe.
  5. The PGA Centenary Course, formerly known as the “Monarch,” is the longest inland course in Scotland.
